Expired Permits

Expired Pinecrest Permits:

What is an “Expired Permit”?  When a permit that has been issued by the Village of Pinecrest has not received an approved inspection within 180 days from the issuance of the permit or from the date of the last approved inspection, that permit is considered an “expired permit” and is subject to the issuance of a Notice of Violation to the permit holder and a civil penalty of $200.00.

If a permit has been expired for less than 180 days the permit holder is required to renew the permit by paying the current permit fee, plus a $200.00 civil violation fee. A new permit application is not required. A credit of 50% of the original permit fee will be applied to the total permit fee.

Once the permit has been renewed, the required inspections, up to and including a final inspection may be arranged by one of the following methods:

If a permit has been expired for over 180 days, the permit holder will be required to submit to the Building and Planning Department a new permit application along with two sets of plans. Outside agency reviews may also be required. Once the plans are approved by our department the permit will be issued upon payment of the permit fee plus a $200.00 civil violation fee. The permit holder will be required to arrange for inspections as indicated above.
