Ariel Meyer was elected, without opposition, to Seat 1 in 2024. He is a technology executive and startup entrepreneur with a B.S. and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Buenos Aires Institute of Technology, as well as an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. Born and raised in Argentina, Ariel moved to the United States in 1997 and has been raising his four children in Pinecrest with his wife, Daniela, since 2015.
Prior to his election, Councilmember Meyer served for a year as a member of the Zoning Board. He is also a passionate advocate for creating livable cities, where children can bike to school as they did 40 years ago, and where older residents can successfully age in their homes, supported by a vibrant community and an active lifestyle. Ariel regularly hosts neighborhood Crime Watch and Halloween parties at his home and actively participates as a Watch D.O.G.S. parent at Pinecrest Elementary.
