Shared-use paths are paved facilities physically separated from motorized vehicular traffic by an open space or barrier. They are used by bicyclists, pedestrians, runners, skaters, etc. As one of the adopted projects of the Village's Transportation Master Plan approved in 2018, the Ludlam Road (67th Avenue) Shared Use Path (SUP) will run from Snapper Creek to SW 136th Street. The construction of the 8'-wide asphalt path will include swale grading to facilitate drainage, and landscape enhancements.

This project will enhance the SUP network in Pinecrest by adding connectivity to existing and future facilities. The Village is coordinating with Miami-Dade County on a project that will connect Howard Drive to the C-2 Canal. The county is also considering an SUP along the north bank of the C-100 between US 1 and Ludlum, providing another point of connection to this network.

Village Council authorized the design of the Ludlam SUP and the Florida Department of Transportation awarded the Village a $1 million grant for the construction of the project. The Village will advertise to acquire engineering design services in early 2024. The design and permitting is anticipated to take up to twelve months.
