DERM for Local Business Tax

Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM)

You are required to obtain approval from DERM prior to the issuance of a Certificate of Use and Occupancy (CU).

In the event of a change of ownership or the name of a business which requires an operating permit from DERM, approval of that agency will be required.

Once the submission is completed, the review process will be initiated in order to obtain the DERM approval required. 

How to Apply

You can upload the application and all related documents (for example - permit application, Certificate of Use Application from the City, DERM Municipal CU Application) online to the portal (Please be sure to use google Chrome.)

 

Step 2.Scroll down and press the button labeled "Certificate of Use"

Step 3.Select Apply for a "New Certificate of Use" at the bottom of the page

Step 4.You will be taken to a log on screen for Miami Dade County. If you do not already have an account, create one to proceed with application
